O’Shaquie Foster's Title Defense Against Raymond Ford

WBC super featherweight champion O’Shaquie Foster will put his title on the line against Raymond Ford on May 30, 2026.

Foster’s journey to this homecoming defense featured a tough last fight against Stephen Fulton. Fulton failed to hit the junior lightweight mark, arriving significantly heavy at 132 lbs. The WBC made a rare mid-air adjustment, sanctioning the bout for the vacant interim lightweight (135 lbs) world title. Foster outboxed Fulton to secure the secondary belt. He then vacated the 135-pound strap to focus exclusively on his reign as the WBC’s champ at junior lightweight.

Ford heads into the Houston showdown boasting a flawless 3-0 record since moving up from 126. He has successfully dismantled high-level contenders like Orlando Gonzalez, Thomas Mattice, and Abraham Nova. For Ford, the May 30 clash isn’t just about another belt; it’s about establishing himself as an elite multi-weight threat. While he will face Ward, Foster has also indicated his desire to face Shakur Stevenson.

Foster’s Aims

"It just depends on what kind of impregnable defense ya’ll got, because he fought nobody like me, that’s faster than him and stronger than him, and I got distance — I know my distance great. I know how to get in and out and do what I do. And he know what it is, we done worked before. He know what it is. I ain’t even going to go into the sparring but he know what it is. All that defense, great woo, woo, woo — that sh-t out the window. I’m going to touch him," Foster said
