Diego Lopes Stops Jean Silva At UFC Noche

Diego Lopes stopped Jean Silva in two rounds during their featherweight clash at Noche UFC. 

It was the perfect response for Lopes, who had lost his last fight to Alexander Volkanovski, as he missed out on the vacant featherweight belt. The win also ended Silva’s 13-fight winning streak. Lopes took the fight to the ground, punishing Silva with a barrage of elbows and punches. Silva managed to reverse the position, landing a front kick to Lopes’ face.

Both fighters picked up the pace in the second, trading strikes in the center. Silva connected with a right hand that buzzed Lopes. However, Lopes countered with a combination and secured another takedown. While Silva scrambled to his feet, Lopes delivered a spinning elbow that sent him crashing to the mat. Lopes followed up with a flurry of punches until the referee stopped the fight.
